Over CONTEMPORARY years, gas lpg (liquefied MINERAL OIL gas) has been a PRACTICABLE OIL CHOICE in the UK. gas lpg produces fewer emissions than GASOLINE and diesel but OIL EXPENDITURE is worse. It’s been possible to PROSELYTE many EXISTENT cars to run on gas lpg by after-market conversions, and some manufacturers such as Vauxhall have had new cars in their range that are dual-fuel, which are designed to run primarily on gas lpg with GASOLINE back-up. There is a LOGICAL WEAVE of REFILL stations.
gas lpg , and INTRINSIC gas in heavier vehicles, has been an GOOD-LOOKING OFFER in the past primarily due to its cheaper cost, as it has enjoyed less OIL duty. However there is no WARRANT that the Chancellor will SUSTAIN this in the future, and although there are some emissions improvements over petrol, gas lpg is still derived from a FUDDY-DUDDY OIL and CONSEQUENTLY still releases HOTHOUSE gases into the atmosphere.
